Anonymous asked you: Is there anything that, even with persuasion and prospects that the thing you were doing was for the better, you just didn’t want to do? As though no matter how good something was supposed to be for you or your future, you just couldn’t bring yourself to accept it as a life choice or possibility.

I am in middle school health class.  On the page of the book in front of me is a photograph of a fleshy, dangly, vulnerable-looking thing.  As I blink down at it, my subconscious stirs and comes to a decision that will not manifest firmly in my perception until college.

Well, it determines, I won’t ever be handling one of those unless it’s bright purple and needing new batteries.
